We’re nearly to Winter Break, but not quite. Just over the hump. Still, with Thanksgiving lurking around the corner, why not put down that stack of papers, bookmark your copy of Everything’s An Argument, and come out to the Green Bar to hear some great readers:

Emily Conner lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where she writes small pieces about beasts and the weather and then farms on weekends.

AB Gorham‘s originally from Montana, but currently lives in Tuscaloosa, AL, where she’s the poetry editor for Black Warrior Review. Her work can be found at DIAGRAM, Gulf Coast, The Offending Adam, and Front Porch, among others.

Ann Powers is the critic for NPR Music. She currently writes for The LA Times, and has written for The New York Times, The Village Voice, and San Francisco Weekly. She has published three books, most recently Tori Amos Piece by Piece: A Portrait of the Artist from Broadway Books.

Shanti Weiland is author of the chapbook Daughter En Route and received her Ph.D. at University of Southern Mississippi. Her recent publications include Pure Francis, Off The Coast, Verdad Magazine, Imitation Fruit, Tattoo Highway, and Language and Culture. She is currently circulating her manuscript, “A Beautiful Fuchsia Hell,” and writing a new manuscript about a former Buddhist nun.
